Well I got murdered, not as bad as I thought I was going to though. We did multiple runs all oh which I lost :( His car is a 2003 WRX Stage IIII+ (FMIC is the plus in stage 4 according to him). This thing lights up the doors of STI's so I gotta give mad props to Mark (my buddy who finally grew a pair and raced) for putting together one hell of a racing machine :buttrock No real numbers on how much AWHP it makes, but from comparing to others, it's in the 330-350awhp and higher range with only running 17lbs of boost. It's going to be running 23lbs once he gets his tuning all figured out. My car of course is a 91 325i Dinan Turbo running 9-10PSI :buttrock To even the weight out a bit, I had 2 UPS units in my trunk which weigh about 75lbs a piece and another passenger which weighs around 225lbs. Anyways, I'll let all of the videos do the speaking...right click save as for all of them please and sorry for the size of some of them. They were taken on my digital camera and I don't know of a way to compress them yet :mad (well I do know how to, but lazy lol)

Stupid of me. I'm pretty sure I would have had him on this run because I was right in my boost and he had some lag and I was pulling very quickly when I let off! Stupid mistake!!! 11.5mb

Very fun night and I'm actually happy with how the results turned out even though I lost (even in reverse lol). 15 year old car vs a 3 year old car which has more mods and money into it then I bought my car for :buttrock So all in all, good learning experience to know how I stand with some of those other supped up AWD badboys on the road!

very cool videos man.....i drove a wrx (yes i am lucky) all through high school and now my younger brother drives it, i'm in college, have my own car now.....anyways we had about 230awhp--300 crank hp, and its soooo much fun, and we have a cutout after the downpipe, very loud

anyways its cool to see both these cars race, and even though both were not designed to be drag racers, they are very very fast

Stage 4 WRX will never make 330awhp. It's hard to break 300awhp on a WRX without using race gas. I'm guessing he has a VF22 or 18G with front mount. At 17psi, he's probably putting out 270-280awhp w/ 93oct.

Also, WRX tranny will give up before it reaches 300+ whp.

I cannot comment on what he is putting down as I don't know jack about Scubaru's. I was just going off of what he told me. And he was running race gas that night :buttrock

I don't know what turbo, but I'll ask. I know it's not the stock one :)

VF30 OR 34 can make 250whp or about 320-350hp to the crank.

320-350whp is mostly observed at 19psi or more. If he's running race gas, he should be seeing 22psi or more.

He's running a VF34 and he said he was making 19-20psi that day we raced.. F'in liar! He only told me he was making 17psi and running race gas :) He's having tuning problems or else he'd be making 23psi he said. Going out to Trick Shots tonight so I'll get more info on what he's done :buttrock

vf34 can put out max of 270 to the wheel.

yea my friend runs a vf22 and he dynoed at like 290 running ecutek. vf34 should net a little lower than that.

just listen to wimpwgn, sounds like he has a good idea what he is talking about.
