damn... I'm lovin the extra bass... it not only hits harder, but more importantly it's clean and tight bass. This small 6.5" woofer is perfect, even for my bass-demanding scraper music, yadidimean?!

The highs and mids sound great too... I'm a happy camper... finally got this ish installed! My setup still needs a bit of fine tuning, but for now it's a huge improvement over the stock system.

I filled up the center partition wings with DAPtex expanding foam (just felt like trying this stuff out :D)

eDead V1se was used throughout since it was highly recommended and was also a lot cheaper than Dynamat

gonna use a roll of Frost King duct insulation (copped it at Lowe's) over the wheel wells and surrounding areas to reduce road/tire noise. I'm also making sure nothing rattles back there by using plenty of 2mm adhesive-backed foam sheets. I like it better than felt since it compresses, minimizing potential gaps.

Spent so much on the M coupe...you had to steal the car audio insulation?

Weak.

thanks... I used to build models, so I know what it's like trying to make everything perfect ^_^

for whom ever's wondering, you won't even be able to tell I'm running an aftermarket system once all the original panels are back on. It's basically a "stealth setup".

Is that an Ewok next to the Duct Insulation?

nah, an Agouti... comes from the rainforests of Central and Southern America. It kinda stinks but the females love it

Hey el.duderino... you're right about the imaging being way too low at the bottom. My friend still insists that I install them as close to the mids as possible. I played around with the tweeter placement and near the footwell (kickpanels) the whole stage is down at my ankles.

I really want to install them into the original tweeter location in the door panels but I don't think I'm ready to take off the door panels just yet. The sound was perfect around upper chest level.

here is where I would ideally like to place the tweeters short of removing the door panels:

the speaker wire's too thick to route it up there. Although it might look a bit ghetto as well as defeating my stealth setup purposes, I think it's a good compromise.

good luck with the v1se. i hope it sticks better for you than it has for me.

what components are you using?

Sup Benny,

the V1se sticks better on some surfaces better than others, but yeah Dynamat Extreme is a lot stickier. Did V1se stick well for you initially?

I'm using a Helix 2-way system (HXS 235), disconnected rear fill.

it stuck well initially, but almost every piece in my trunk has fallen down since (after some very hot days baking out in the sun). i haven't taken my door cards off yet to see if that is still stuck. ...kinda afraid to.
