View Full Version : The Alpina in action vtbimmer 11-14-2005, 10:58 PM Little clip of the B6 in action. Nothin to special untill next year when I put together some good footage with good cameras..... http://www.youtube.com/?v=Ta1Az9cxJSk jjgbmw323 11-14-2005, 11:05 PM Cool. Looking good. Yellow headlights eh? They look ok on your color car, but not on mine. By the way how is that ticket thing going? I talked today to Johny from Arlington Vermont today, has his 320i almost back together with the HR springs and bilstein sports. Its getting out from under the basement of his house and off the jackstands...after a decade. So..we may be able to hang out with you next year. And yeah the stroker will be in. Get ready bro. Also the roads look like I remeber VT. I went to college in Southern NH,VT area. Brattelboro and other areas the further north you go, the more it becomes like another country. Boston, is nothing like this. Cops, cars and people everywhere. 1979BMW 11-14-2005, 11:43 PM A stop light?!:eyecrazy Looks nice. There isn't one stop light in my county.(Which is larger than Rhode Island):D vtbimmer 11-15-2005, 12:34 AM Dec 13th for the court date. Im lookin to get it knocked down and just pay a fine. Its all about the money to them anyway. jrcook320 11-15-2005, 02:06 AM A stop light?!:eyecrazy Looks nice. There isn't one stop light in my county.(Which is larger than Rhode Island):D It was for a 1 lane bridge. 1979BMW 11-15-2005, 10:34 AM I was just kidding around.:) ;) AlaskaBimmer 11-15-2005, 11:55 AM We have stretches of roads here with no stop lights larger than many states lol....once I leave wasilla it's about 200 miles North to the next stop light, and maybe Canada somewhere or perhaps Glenallen lol.... Hatchman 11-15-2005, 04:01 PM hey give props to the kid who almost killed himself tapeing it :P vtbimmer 11-15-2005, 04:22 PM ^^^ Yeah, this nutty bastard managed to tape it and stay on my ass at speeds of close to 100 Yonkers320is 11-15-2005, 10:45 PM they guy following you is nuts..... you stay on your lane and he goes everywhere, had to be a NY driver... lol vtbimmer 11-15-2005, 11:30 PM they guy following you is nuts..... you stay on your lane and he goes everywhere, had to be a NY driver... lol :rofl I never looked in my rear view so I had no idea he was using the whole road that much. Its my fault since he was following me for most of the drive and I was defenately apexing all the corners before that video was shot. Here is a in car cam of the drive. Exhaust sounds niiiice! http://www.youtube.com/?v=gTQ4Z3_CO3U jjgbmw323 11-16-2005, 09:27 AM Fun. Looks like a good time!:lol You cant do anything like that around Boston. John and I are going to meet up sometime in Vermont, and his 320i after 10 years is off the jack stands in his basement and the front suspension is in. I cant wait to get my 323i and blast threw some of those roads. How come there are no cops or traffic lights? Is this just how is in Vermont by mount snow? Hatchman 11-16-2005, 09:50 AM they guy following you is nuts..... you stay on your lane and he goes everywhere, had to be a NY driver... lol Have you seen a stock ix suspension?:rolleyes MOONONONONONSTER TRUCKK vtbimmer 11-16-2005, 11:21 AM Fun. A good portion of that vid was in Massachusetts. Those are just some really good roads and routes through twisties where there arent alot of cops. The only lights we hit are going through a few towns. These roads are the only thing I like about this area. Too cold in the winter and too boring in the summer. Nothing to do but drive. This is the map of the drive. We start in Troy NY and loop through Mass. and VT. Ignore the Albany meet. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v709/vtbmw525/number%202/IMG_1488copy.jpg This is another drive we do. A bit longer. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v709/vtbmw525/number%202/IMG_1485copy.jpg And then the ultimate route.... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v709/vtbmw525/number%202/IMG_1488.jpg jjgbmw323 11-16-2005, 11:49 AM I see you are close to Keene, if I ever get back that way I will have to stop in an visit my old university. There was lots of fun had buy myself and my classmates over there. One buddy of mine actually had black outs back in the day. lol As for the cops around here I will give you an example.. today was an average day. I saw only 5 today. Three state troopers in various sides and parts of the highway, and two local officers. Some days I see close to ten cops. So, it seems like fun, I just dont want to get busted for anything. My 323i is going to stick out like a sore thumb cause of the color, but I spoke to John and he is down for some fun with his 320i, and I will go alone as well. vtbimmer 11-16-2005, 01:30 PM Dont get me wrong we are completely safe. Everyone has radio's and we have a radar detector in the front of the pack and the rear. We only have fun where the road allows. Other than that we are respectful of the towns and speed limits where we just cruise. Here is a link to the pics from the last drive. http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=441944 jjgbmw323 11-16-2005, 02:05 PM Dont get me wrong we are completely safe. Not to sure, when you right foot stomps the gas, in your hot rod Alpina B6 on an open road, how safe you are..and your buddy Apexing the corners to keep up. There definately seems to be a lot a fun..going on... and I cant wait to join you. Believe me I am going to Stomp the gas.and remove the carbon...if no one is around to see it. Jmabarone 11-16-2005, 07:07 PM vt, how far are you from Middlebury? My great-grandfather was the headmaster there in the early 1900s. We were up there a couple years ago. Very nice roads. My mom and sister was with us so my dad and I didn't get to have any fun... Jake And remember, Vermont is the home of the Super Troopers A few hours south of Middlebury. The roads get even better further north of me. Less traffic and even less police. Lots of windy farmland. It only records 30 frames per second so unless your doing over 100 or speed the vid up a tad it always looks slow. You should of been in the car. Brian, the guy taping in my passenger seat had both hands on the camera trying to hold himself in place with his feet.:lol3 Jmabarone 11-17-2005, 10:03 PM I like the new sig picture, kinda unique.
