I want to start planning for next year. I'm going to need dedicated volunteers to call for sponsorships, help plan, get location, etc...... I also need some suggestions. Do you want to do it in Springfield, MO again? Any suggestions will be taken under consideration.

Ill have to find out when I graduate though, sometime in early May I would imagine.

Well I think that we should get a head count and then see where we should have it. Didnt we have more people from STL than anywhere else last year? If it is like that again I think we should have it in or closer to STL My .02.

I think I will bring my new addition this time! 1975 Green 2002. It might be for sale if I get a reasonable offerr :) n e 1 interested?

No Problem Larry. I kind of agree on the head count it gives you an idea of who wants to go. But then again we can do a head count and people say they will show up but then back out. Like the Oklahoma and Wichita Groups. The reason we did it in Springfield, MO was to accommodate everyone so the drive to Springfield would be about 2-3 hour drive for everybody. Cool bring the 2002

So do we want to have other Euro's like VW? I know the VW club here would attend. Or do we want to keep it just for BMW's?

Larry do you remeber the guy with the Orange 2002 that won the gift certificate? I need to get a hold of him because we discussed about plaques he can make.

I thinik the Columbia area would be great. There are some great twisty roads out there, and the drive from St. Louis could be alot of fun as well. I think inviting the VW and possabily Audi club would be great as well. I had discussed with the VW and Mini clubs about something in the spring... they both seemed intrested.

Just a Thought

yeah, columbia would be a great place. Lots of great roads with little to no traffic. Plenty of stuff to do, and it's where I live.:stickoutt

I think getting the vw club to join in would be great. They always have ridiculous turn-outs to their events, and we could use all the people we can get. I'd be happy to plan/help out for the event, but I really don't know my work and school schedule to far in advance.

He has been at a couple meets since then, as well. I will send you his information.

Columbia is fine by me and I would definitely support inviting Audi/VW guys. The only downside I see is that the drive would suck because of too many cars.

Yes that and also trying to get donations for both BMW, Audi, and VW's.

Any more information on this? I have seen that the stleuromeet web site is gone also, so I guess that will not happen. With Gateway Tech in STL, I hope that we can gather more intrest in Eurofest.

I'll attend. Last years meet was a blast. I wasn't very successful bringing many people, but it might different this year.

I'm in. If it's in St. Louis, I'm even willing to do a lot of the leg work. If it's in Springfield, I can help, just not nearly as much.

It sounds like a St. Louis meet is needed. How about the second weekend in February? Maybe a parking garage meet in the Clayton area?

Thoughts?
