View Full Version : Dyno graph from Dyno day at agile... For Glenn.
redrocket328 11-13-2005, 09:41 PM Wuchucivic(glenn) wanted to see my dyno graph to compare his A/F ratio to mine so i thought i would just post it up for everyone to see.
I was a bit suprised by the torque numbers. I wasnt so suprised by the HP but the torque is was really suprised me. I dyno'd at 229 hp and 209 ft/lbs. last time and the only mods i have dont since then at Fan Delete, ASC delete, and AC delete and took off my UUC systemU exhaust. This dyno was with a stock M3 exhaust on. Here were the mods...
M50 manifold swap, Cosmos CAI, Fan Delete, A/C delete, ASC Delete

sKunkman 11-13-2005, 10:53 PM Not bad for an M3 (RICH!)
redrocket328 11-14-2005, 12:59 AM Rich as in my A/F ratio, or Rich as in my name????
sKunkman 11-14-2005, 03:01 AM Rich as in RICH! (if you don't get it, you don't get it. the washington post).
clintjg 11-14-2005, 09:01 AM Rich.
Poke2120 11-14-2005, 10:47 AM Richard,
Nice numbers! My only thought in such a drastic increase in torque maybe could be that Agile constantly, from what I remember, changed around the ratios used to dyno our cars. I see a 4.005 ratio was used this time. Do you have your dyno sheet from the previous dyno day, what was the ratio used then? Just curious as to if they are different numbers or the same. Not saying anything.
nick325xit 5spd 11-14-2005, 10:52 AM By any chance did they give you any real RWHP graphs, or was it just bullshit estimated flywheel graphs?

The Ratios are the same from both this dyno day. It is quite simple actaully. You cant really change the ratios, its a given number. With a 3.23 differential, and a ratio of 1.24 in 4th gear, you do 3.23 x 1.24= 4.005 .

That's how the Dynapacks display. It's still RWHP unless they dick with the correction factor.

Ah.
That's stupid.

That is if you plug it in manually. I remember a lot of times when Agile would "let the computer decide the best ratio". Never really understood that. Anyway, if the ratios were the exact same from the last dyno day, cheers my friend :alright

Never really understood why you removed your AC? This does not increase rwhp. On a track car I can see removing the AC to save weight, but on a street car? Come on. I understand it was broken, but it could have been fixed. Come 100+ degree summer time, or come resale time, you are going to be kicking yourself, hard.

When removing the A/C you are also removing the A/C belt, Just like the fan delete the A/C delete takes drag off of your engine. Now dont just say, "well then turn the A/C off!" The A/C belt is always spinning whether you have the A/C condensor turned on or off. Now i dont know if this actaully adds a significant horse power or not but it is taking drag off the engine, that is what i know.

Is that your daily driver?
wushucivic 11-14-2005, 05:58 PM wow your curves are very similar to mine except for the added torque. they used a slightly different scale but if you compare rpm to the value you can see they are close. you even have the same annoying dip in torque from 3000 to 3500 rpm.

Bav///Man 11-15-2005, 06:13 PM What is the gain?
redrocket328 11-15-2005, 06:18 PM What is the gain?
Not sure, i did the Fan delete and the A/c Delete at the same time. The huge difference that i noticed was the throttle responce. I noticed that it was pulling harder too, but that could have just been in my imagination.
vjlax18 11-15-2005, 06:34 PM What a great imagination...
Bav///Man 11-15-2005, 06:35 PM I mean the gain figure on the dyno sheet

vjlax18 11-15-2005, 10:12 PM But hey, I don't have A/C in either of my BMW's...imagine that.
