The car may look familiar, it used to belong to Pallela. The car is making progress....very slowly. I am doing a partial restore and a little modding. All of the chrome window trim and mouldings will be black (in progress). A new headliner will be put in, as well as new carpet and a rear deck lid. All new window seals and weatherstripping is being replaced. Black seats of some sort will be installed in the front. I think I am going to box of the entire rear seat and do a single sub, but I am not sure yet. All the grills and black pieces of the car will get a repaint as well. The dash will also be redone. That's all I can think of right now other than replacing brakes (Anthony gave them to me! woohoo!) and fixing the parking brake. Any suggestions guys? Just a piece of info...I am only 17 so I can't spend a bizzillion dollars on this thing like I wish I could, especially because I am also wanting to spend money on my E36. But now I can rock the spiffy ride (97 328i) when I pick up chics and the old school bimmer (79 320i) to meets.

The 4th pic is how the car looked when Pallela bought it. The car was then painted by Pallela and sold to me. The first pics show what the car looks like now that I have got my hands on it.

It just doesn't work. I guess it might be the cable unattached or maybe it snapped? Any other ideas? Also, how difficult is it to find this cable from under the car?

Cable is easy to replace, and easy to find. Remove the boot over the e-brake and see if the 2 cables are in tact or not. They could break there, or in the drums.

It could even be possible that your rear breaks are so unadjusted that the shoes dont even grab the drums anymore, rendering the e-brake useless

Thanks, I will definately be posting pictures as it comes along. The color is Nissan Orange thanks to A&L Autobody of Palatine, Illinois (Pallela's shop).

Hi. . .good to see another E-21 owner in the Chicagoland area. Could you please give me some details about the body shop where you got your car painted. I need to get some work done on my car. Thanks.

A&L Autobody in Palatine, IL. The owner's son is actually the guy I bought the car from. They are great guys, and true BMW fans. If you are in the chicagoland area, you should definately check out our local club www.Euroteknik.com
Anthony of A&L Autobdoy also sponsors/belongs to this club, and it would be a good way for you to get in contact with him. If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask. I hope to see you at a Euroteknik meet soon, there are always more e21's needed.

Great to see the car is getting work it deserves. I hate it when someone posts, "This is my beater. I'm going to hit shopping carts with it until I break something." Never what you want to hear when you're breaking your wallet trying to restore your own. I like the color too.
