Replaced battery in my daughter's Honda CR-V EX. (Picked up new battery in my BMW in MARB). Unfortunately, the radio now won't work 'cause I don't the code. Anyone have an in at a Honda dealership? Pretty sure they can pull up the code based on the VIN. Thanks.

with the radio off, press and hold 1 and 6, turn on radio.
this should give you the radio serial number. we need that.
this only works on the second gen. crv
tried looking in/around the glove box for a small white sticker?
also check the rear hatch for a white sticker. some dealers put the raadio code stickers in/on the glove box or the rear hatch.
Guys -
Thanks for offers of help.
Couldn't get the radio serial number using the procedure Odortiz suggested. Perhaps '99 was final year of first generation model?
In any case, VIN is JHLRD1760XC044166.
Any help you can give me getting the radio code is most appreciated.
Thanks!
Neil

2002 was the first year of the new body style and 2.4L torque monster power plant. the radio procedures here apply to the new body style.

i need the radio serial no.
i can't do it throught the vin.
if you can't find the white sticker on the rear hatch jamb or inside/side of glovebox, you need to pull the radio to get me the ser no.
