View Full Version : finally 17's on with pics
Dropped325i 11-12-2005, 12:53 PM had to use 3mm + 1/4 on each wheel spacers, now they fit, and had to get a longer than usual stud conversion, here are some pics, cant wait to get these seat covers i just ordered off of ebay. just got a 1000w sony amp and 2 10 inch sony subs, re-wired all my speakers put a newer kenwood deck, pieoneer speakers in the rear, installed optima and put a small intake with 5" K&N filter. Its getting there slowly, had to mod the gauges by the shifter also (its mounted good but looks bad, will fiberglass and paint it after, or just paint it) also need a shifter knob (that doesnt unscrew) and shifter boot, and get my e-brake working.
Going to my friends right now to tach up my cut springs (1 inch tach on the top and bottom of each) so they dont move, and maybe get an alignment after.

zak78 11-12-2005, 01:01 PM Exterior looks good...but please don't put on that ridiculous steering wheel cover. Please. Nice wing, by the way.
320ipyro 11-12-2005, 01:18 PM its lookin good.... but i agree with zak on the steering wheel cover
vtbimmer 11-12-2005, 06:05 PM Steering wheel cover? What about the seat covers.
zak78 11-12-2005, 06:14 PM Garish. But possibly better than having seat padding flying out (although I haven't seen his seats to be able to say what condition they're in)
Dropped325i 11-12-2005, 07:45 PM thanks, my seats are wrecked, i'm going to get some small cushions, and no, the steering wheel cover isnt going on :) I think the seat covers will look cool, my seats arent recaro's neither the guy said he never seen a bmw with cloth seats, and mine had them, i assume someone swapped out the seats. I just got done welding the springs to the struts shock mounts with my friend, all set for an aligment now. took pics, getting ready to go out to eat at hooters :) then watch saw2, my friend used his digi cam so i might have to wait a day or 2 for pics of the welding, I dont see why civic setup cant work on our cars, a full coil over assembly (compressed).

e21bimmer 11-12-2005, 09:42 PM not my style. but everyone has there own thing. cutting springs is a bad idea. you should get lowering springs. or coilovers. it may cost a little more to do it the right way but atleast you wont have to do it again when stuff breaks.

Dropped325i 11-13-2005, 01:12 AM i didnt cut them, bought the car unknowing that, assumed they were lowering springs, i wouldnt of, but cheapest route to go forward, i modded the crap out of them with my friend. There straight now, now more play complete compressed and stays in place.
Al Canuck 11-13-2005, 06:13 PM Lots of E21's, and other BMW's with cloth seats from the factory. Nothing special there. My 323i had cloth, as does my E28.
