View Full Version : First day in VA, spotted a few E36 M3's.
Sammyzuko 11-11-2005, 07:26 PM Saw a parked Hellrot with BBS RCs as I was walking around Courthouse. Car looked mint:buttrock . Later he roared past me towards Arlington blvd.
Heard a honk as I was merging onto 395. Look over and see a beautiful blue M3(Estoril I believe). Driver seemed like a cool guy, gave a wave and took off. I would've followed, but I was already lost and had a LOT of extra weight in my car...lol.
There are so many BMW's around here, but these were the rides that caught my eye.
I think I'm going to like it here.
SpeedTheory 11-11-2005, 07:31 PM Awesome, welcome to the area :). Check out the local GTG feeler, its about 10 mins from you, we're going to be doing them every other week, hope to see you out :). Feel free to PM me any questions about the area. My group, eastcoasteuro, runs a lot of meets in the area too, so you should check that out as well. A lot of the locals here are really awesome :).
simsima325 11-11-2005, 07:31 PM welcome :)

SpeedTheory 11-11-2005, 08:08 PM Why so much hate for the ECE guys :).

Charisma 11-11-2005, 08:42 PM Welcome, yeah there is a ton of bimmers around here.:evil2
I never realized it until I got myself one.
Sammyzuko 11-11-2005, 09:32 PM might have been me.
I think the guy driving the Estoril was black, but I'm not 100% sure.
Coming from a fairly small town in the Midwest, it's nice to see a few European cars instead of Buicks and Oldsmobiles.

Glenn! He must have been IN THE ZONE!!!!!!!!!
SpeedTheory 11-11-2005, 10:25 PM I haven't seen Glenn in forever, I don't think since the first megameet.

Might as well start looking for a lawyer now. Cops in NoVA will be out to get ya.
You will also find people can't drive for shit around here.
Especially in rain or snow. Turn signals do not exist.
If you do use a turn signal to signal you intentions people will speed up then once they pass you, slow up. You will be full of rage soon enough, :)
Oh yeah, welcome to the neighborhood.
Oh, you have joined the BMW CCA, right?
Only the largest chapter in the US. :buttrock
Easy signup form below. ;)
Sammyzuko 11-12-2005, 12:41 AM I have noticed a large number of cops in the area, but I don't intend to attract much attention. Seems like there are enough crazy ass drivers around here to make it easy for me to fall under the radar.

Moments before I spotted Glenn, a Chryler 300 shot across 2 lanes of traffic to cut me off. I had to slam on my brakes and come to a complete stop on the entrance ramp to avoid hitting him. My car was packed full of my belongings including 4 snowtires/rims and everything shifted forward. One of the wheels in the trunk had some of the finish scraped off from that hard stop:mad . At least they're just replicas.

wushucivic 11-13-2005, 08:48 PM Mo is that your car in your sig? do you still have the cop car? ;)
JamesM3M5 11-13-2005, 11:36 PM What the hell is "ECE"? I'm not even 30 yet, and I can't keep up with all you hipsters and your cool lingo. :rofl
Yeah, watch out for Fairfax Co cops. VA State Troopers don't have much of a sense of humor, either ;) And if yuo're ever in Reston, they have a Camaro in full FFX Co paint scheme and an unmarked Dodge Intrepid they like to use for speed traps. Ofcr Gorny pegged me doing 55 in a 35 with the Dodge just this past May.
Oh, and that Hansel, he's so hot right now....
