How was the track layout? I went to one a couple of months ago and it was a blast. The only problem is the drive from austin...

The first picture that I saw, I knew instantly where it was from. Looking at the title, I thought it was something like a washington DC auto-x or something.

How were your times?

here is the course map for last weekends autoX, it was a very fast course. Starting from the left.

They always like to incorporate those tricky sloloms! I need more practice on those as that is where I am always pretty slow!

Hey guys, I've been to Mineral Wells a few times, but with the PCA events (I have a friend who's dad runs some of the events). Anyway, I'm very interested in participating in a BMW club event too. What's the atmosphere like? Everybody play nice? :) Thinking of going to the next (9/7) event...

Mineral Wells is my favorite place to go, that is why I drive 3 and a half hours to go! Everyone is very nice there, and their courses are a ton of fun.

If you go, you will love it. Just get out there and act friendly, strike up some conversation. It is a blast!

Sounds pretty cool! I'm definitely going to try to make it. I don't have as long of a ride as you do, Bry, cuz I live in Irving. But I still enjoyed the few auto-x's time-trials I've been to there and it's well worth getting up at 5AM for!

Hey, I have a red bimmer too! :D '97 328is sport here... So far I've only put on an intake. A suspension upgrade is planned for the very near future.

Rahul, I'll be sporting #999 (I hope that number's not taken yet, because I haven't joined the BMWCCA yet). I'm going to try to drag my friend from work there (he drives a '95 325is), although he won't be racing his car if he does make it out there; it's in need of some maintenance right now.

Anyway, thanks for your responses! I hope to meet you guys out there...
