I came out from class yesterday to discover my right rear tire flat as a pancake. So i stayed at school all day instead of going home during my 2 hr break like i usually do, and borrowed my buddys cigarette-lighter powered compressor. It sat there and pumped but nothing was happening...so I pulled out the spare, it was only at 15psi so I inflated it up to 35 and slapped it on there. The flat tire actually has a hole WORN in the inside sidewall just above the tread, with nylon showing...I don't know how that happened cause theres still at least 50% tread left and I didn't drive on it low...weird.

Anyway, being a six series my full size spare is one of the original wheels - a 390mm wheel with a 220/65R390 tire. And it's old and cracked and nasty...but it holds aiur.

Ahhhh metric wheels and tires..... Who's goofy idea was that?:confused
Ford tried that on the Mustang one or two years, I think Michelen made the tires back then, not sure if anyone still makes replacements now. My buddy has an older Ferrari and has run into the same problem of finding metric replacements.
