Friend was doing a burnout contest and thought he fried the clutch. Today he took the tranny off and the pressure plate was in four pieces. It was scored pretty well also. Clutch disc is worn to the rivets.

holy shit! :eek: the metal characteristics must have changed a lot due to all of the heat cycles. I don't think it is brittle enough to do that brand new.

We shattered 3 over the course of the season in the 330i race car. Never figured out why. Data showed zero driver errors, etc.

Yeah, bell housings held, generally. PP's are OEM BMW...I think.
