Most of you are not aware of this competition since it's only in Vegas, but I wanted to share my joy anyways.
The BALLS Challenge includes: drag racing, track event, and autox. The driver with the best time after all three events wins.
Well, I did,
To my surprise I was able to beat some very good cars and experienced drivers. Cars included: Lotus Elise (one turbo, one n/a), Mustangs, Subarus, etc.
What can I say? It was my birthday weekend, so what better way to celebrate the ocassion than by being number one in the competition.
Here is more info and results of the event.
If you guys want to participate next year contact the organizer.

The Elise driver didn't do so well at the autocross. Good job!
No he didn't, but he is a very experienced driver. He hates autox as much as I hate drag racing.
Sounds like an abbreviated version of the Cannonball One Lap of America -- without the 4,000 miles of transits between the competition events.

Sounds like a typical track day guy who actually sucks at driving and doesn't realize it.
Never seen a pro driver fail to at least do decently on an autocross course without even trying.
... or did he just hit cones every run or something? I don't mean to be rude but in my experience when someone sucks it up and an autocross and goes on about how they hate it, they are track day guys with more car than talent.
I won a trophy, free dinner, free track event and a dvd. But I don't care about that, just the fact that I won is more important to me.
The Lotus driver has been driving track events for over five years all over the USA. He recently was at Road Atlanta with his Porsche and last summer went to the Glenn and Siebring, so he is a good track driver who hates autox. As a matter of fact, his last autox event was last year.
The Mustang in 3rd place doesn't have stock engine either. Aluminum block to start with and all the goodies inside.
Then the WRX STI that didn't go to the autox was the favorite, but he just didn't show up, thanx God.
The three days was fun, but tiresome. We didn't have to drive 4k miles, but over 200 to get to all events.

sounds like fun, i am surprised there weren't more participants. if this was any were neer my area i would have done it. maybe next year.
Tyler, I love your graphics. One of these days I'll get enough money to have you paint my new helmet.
You should join us next year, we might have two events.
BTW, there was a waiting list since the max number of participants was 20, but then some didn't show up, or cancelled the last minute.
