In short, with my current set of track wheels, I might need to run spacers when I upgrade to a big brake kit in the near future. For some reason, I've always been a little hesitant to run wheel spacers. What are you thoughts?

I'm using 5mm spacers up front with no ill effects. I noticed a slight improvement on turn-in. 18x8.5, 38mm, 235/40-18s, 2 degrees negative.

i run 15mm H&R spacers on my autox setup with 17x9 Forgelines (41mm offset). the 15mm H&Rs are hubcentric spacers, though. gives a nice track to the front. :D

15mm front spacers on stock 8.5" wheels (41mm offset). Track is increased 30mm over stock (of course). Increasing track is a good thing, as it helps combat understeer. On the negative side, it increases scrub radius which increases kickback through the steering wheel (longer moment arm) and can have negative impact braking stability.
That said, I noticed no negatives with the spacers.

I run 5mm spacers up front, with 7.5" Motorsport wheels on the race car, in order to clear the big brakes. Absolutely no problems...with the spacers that is.

I heard Jim. How long until she is running again? I do recall an email about oil pump nuts.
