Those of you that have to do this, what is the easiest way to pull those plastic pins out of the bumper cover? Do you replace these each time you pull them out or do you just use the bolts that are there only? Also what do you do about the brake ducts? Do you disconnect the hoses each time? TIA!

There are 4 bolts holding the bumper on the car... there are a couple of small screws too, but I don't bother with those. I have the Max V.splitter, and it's attached to the bumper too, so it all comes off in one piece pretty easily.

As for the brake ducts, I cut down the factory brake ducts to about half length, and the brake hose just slides into those when the bumper goes on. It's a little akward and is easier with 2 people, but only takes a couple minutes to remove or install.

john, how are your fender linings mounted in place? and how did you secure the brake ducts to them, that looks like a great idea, kind of a pain how mine are secured right now... looking for new ideas.

Is there no way to modify the ramp instead?

Is there no way to modify the ramp instead?

it'd have to be a really long ramp to get my car on the trailer... LTW splitters put the bumper really close to the ground even at a decent ride height. I have cheater ramps (some wood 2x12's) and i still cant get it up the ramps without scraping, so I remove the bumper. maybe if i went out and bought some more 2x12's and stacked them together I might be able to get it... removing the bumper is pretty quick though.

i use 2x12's that are 6ft long and have a 6x6 bolted to one end to make a ramp extension. this easily works for my car that has 3.5in of clearance on the front of the splitter.

You wouldn't happen to have a picture of your setup would you? You can email me if you have one or post it here. TIA! v.havandjian@gmail.com
