Anyone have any?

Trying to get an idea of what I can do this winter.

Thanks

Two (2) additional bars may be extended from the front cage downbar to the front wheel well to protect the driver’s feet/legs.

Just remember that this rule is quite different from the SCCA IT rules that allow two additional attachment points, one on each side of the cage, without limiting the amount of bars that can terminate at these attachment points.

The best option to me seems to be to pick up points from the A-pillar down bar where you side X-brace or NASCAR bars terminate and triangulate two bars from those points to an attachment point with a large backing plate on the lower portion of the firewall. You are basically trying to prevent the wheel from folding under and pushing into your footwell in the event of a crash.

This is the only pic I have. You can't see it very well. It's similar to Sean's except that I believe the attachment point for mine is higher on the firewall. So the triangle looks more like the 2 tubes connecting to the firewall are the same length.

Mine is a TC Design cage. He has lots-o-pictures on his site.

This is what McMahan is doing for IP cages. Subjectively, I would think the triangulation technique would be a bit stronger than what I currently have:

This is how mine's done too. Good shot.
