Just wanted to post a note about my recent experience installing XM Satellite in my 2003 325i. I found a BMW kit for XM at myradiostore[dot]com and detailed installation info can be found at xm411[dot]com.
Installation was a snap. In the trunk, I simply plugged in the special module into the wiring harness found where the CD Changer is typically installed. I then installed the XM Direct module in and ran the antenna wire under the weather stripping up to the roof. That's it!
Now, I can get XM radio in my factory radio. The display will flash "Sirius" momentarily, but XM comes through loud and clear. The display will show song title and artist as well as channel name.
As a huge baseball fan, I love XM for its MLB coverage. It's great to have it in my BMW!!!
