All of the struts/shocks are dead in that pic, so its strugglin to keep flat on the ground while bouncing around. The guy taking the pic claims I was actually airborne for just a bit as I came around that corner, but he was too late with the picture to catch my tires off the ground. vtbimmer 11-08-2005, 10:50 PM It's not the hp... its the weight. :buttrock Anybody know the official weight? Initially I did an AMG look back in 1987 when I first put the ground up restoration back on the road. I relly don't think the car looked good with white everything so I slowly added color by powder-coating all the trim and returning the grill to black. Recently I decided that I would begin trying to sell her and devote some attention to my E46 323ci. I have owned this car since 1983 and she has seen at least 5 different motor variations. I don't think that I can do much more with the 4 cylinder motor and keep the car streetable. With the blue paint looking cherry, a fresh turbo motor and new carpet she is driving great and soon will be offered to a good home. If you know anyone looking for an extremely powerful 2002 and who will appreciate what I have please let me know. vtbimmer 12-05-2005, 12:03 AM Well, to tell you the truth not too many people seemed to like the white paint scheme. If you know anyone looking for an extremely powerful 2002 and who will appreciate what I have please let me know. OK I gotcha now. That explains the older look to the white pictures. What motor variation is in there now? M10 turbo I assume. Any specs? And how much, honestly would seperate you from your '02. Anymore pics of interior. kpolito99 12-05-2005, 01:02 AM The current motor has surpassed all of my expectations! I have installed an S-14 crank with 92 mm Wiseco pistons. The entire combustion chamber has been coated with Swaintech TBC and RTE main and head stud kits clamp everything together. I reshaped the combustion chamber and cc'd the head to lower the static compression ratio to 8.23:1 (see attached pics). The entire intake plenum, exhaust manifold and turbine housing were ExtrudeHoned prior to applying Jet-Hot 2000 in black. I lucked up and found an old Calloway 320 turbo manifold ($60) and relocated the waste gate to limit exhaust gas reversion... .. . not exactly sure why Calloway cast the wastegate port in the center of the log so far from the turbine. I have implemented a super efficient A/L intercooler with trunk mounted reservoir and 1/2" aluminum transfer lines from nose to tail. There is a centifugal pump mounted under the trunk floor and two Earl's oil coolers for heat transfer behind the airdam. Even while tuning on the chassis dyno the Spearco A/L cooler never gets hot to the touch. The CHRA is both oil and water cooled. I trashed the heater core and welded a male AN-8 fitting to the heater discharge of an S-14 waterpump. With minor machining the higher volume S-14 water pump can be easily pinned and mounted to the standard 2002 lower timing cover. Stainless steel IN/EX valves, Schrick 284 camshaft and properly matched valve springs help her to breathe deep. A custom 3" exhaust runs from the turbine to tail pipe with a single oval shaped Borla muffler in back. During my last trip to the Mustang Dyno she measured 262 RWHP and 259 RWTQ. Because I did not have a 3 BAR map sensor installed with my Haltech ECU at the time, I had to limit max boost to 15 PSI. The shop owner where I tune drives a 900 RWHP Mustang on the street and has a WRX that makes over 500 RWHP on pump gas at 24 PSI. This guy is confident I can approach the 400 HP mark but I do not want to push her to the point of failure. The rear end is really happy now! A mild shift into second gear with application of WOT causes massive wheel spin through the MM Ultimate 5 spd and 3:45 diff with Quaife insert. I have receipts totalling almost $50K and contributed all of the labor with the exception of painting the rolling shell. If I could get close to $30K I would be ecstatic!!! I have seen restored (matching number) 2002's go for much higher and realize that my version of the M2 will appeal to a very limited market. Oh yeah, the interior is fresh. Panels, carpet, dash and carpet are all like new. I have fabricated custom carbon fiber instrument and center console facia. The only signs of age are wear marks on the Recaro Logo cloth center sections of both front seats and I lost the piece of lower dash facia that goes between the carpet and the glove box. Other than that you would think you were sitting in a brand new car. Upgraded instrumentation includes an EGT mounted just before the turbine, digital AFR meter, boost/vacuum gauge, oil temp and pressure. Complete engine management is controlled from the cockpit via Haltech ECU mounted under passenger seat (I will include Toshiba laptop with sale), Jacobs Boost Timing Master under left dash console and Blitz Sequential Boost Controller. canard 12-12-2005, 11:53 AM one more: Here is my '72tii ridr4lif 12-12-2005, 12:15 PM one more: Here is my '72tii What wheels are those?
