SO... I went to the dealership about a week ago and got a new leather steering wheel for my ZHP. I simply hated the Alcantra on it... some odd reason its durability was just horrid.

Week went by with my new full leather steering wheel... all was good however I had noticed one morning that my CD player was not reading any of the CD and wont play. Concerned, and frustrated... I had tried like million different CD's... but no luck.
Next day I had my doubts... and tried with one of the CD's that I had, and magically it started reading the CD and I had music in my car. Although it was playing... it was posessed... skipping to next track all on its on and etc.

Next day I hop in my car... and try to jam on the way to work... but... NO POWER AT ALL on my CD or the radio. However the NAVIGATION part was working fine, and the lady was talking to me as if there was nothing wrong... :mad I was furious... and what the monkey... This cant be happening to me... I thought they had messed up the wiring when they put the new steering wheel, but that wouldnt make any sense. Cause it was fine for couple days since I had put on the new steering wheel... argh.

So I made an appt to the dealers... and they checked it out... They had to replace the circuit board behind the NAV where the CD part is, it was out... and I have no clue how... why this happened. Mind you I had my car 30,000 miles...( i know... I travel many many miles...) but I still baby it...
Has this happed to anyone...? Is this common for the E46 with NAV? With out the warranty, this would have cost $900.00 wooow... that was the invoice that the dealer showed me. outrageous...

Will this be avoidable? Is this circuit out due to NAV screen flipping up and down?

Any clue anyone?
