Does the M3 conv rearview mirror have the garage door buttons?

The Universal garage door opener is an option, on convertibles it is housed in the mirror, but requires a new mirror already assembled.
One more reson to buy your M3 with a solid roof.

I was looking at replacing my mirror in the 330, square, wiht the oval mirror of the M3, to match my side mirrors. But i still need the garage opener.

I don't think most M3 buyers would switch from a 'vert to a coupe because of the Universal garage door opener placement......:awink:

That's not what I ment. I just don't like convertabiles . Besides, that new mirror is over 500$.

I would love to, and have been thinking about, getting an M3 Coupe with no options, just to drive for the fun of it. However, the 3 is my daily driver, and there is nothing like a convertible. Besides i never track my cars, so the added body flex and weight don't really bother me.

I have the oval mirror in my M3 - and hate it. It is definately something the marketing guys put in - like the grey faces on the gauges. They are less efficient than the "regular" 3's parts, and done for no performance reason what so ever! Drive an M3 with the mirror before you get one. Watch what you wish for!

Well, i have the mirror in my roadster, and it really isnt good for much. Neither are the exterior mirrors, but i like the look. Hey, whats wrong with the gauges? I think its nice that they are different than the stock stuff. Though they can be hard to see.

That's it - you buy the high performance car, because you are supposed to be an enthusiast, and they give you gauges that are harder to read on the faster cars? WTF? They do look pretty...but if I wanted pretty, I would have bought a Firebird with the 6.....

Ya i hear you and i was upset to find a thermometer in place of the voltometer in my roadster.
