I ordered a REAR M-tech bumper (51-12-2-498-505) for my E39 540i and in the course of shipping it was slightly damaged. Basically a small piece of one of the corners broke off cleanly. I still have the broken piece, which is smaller than a penny. I filed a claim with the shipper and will be reimbursed so will be buying a new bumper locally instead.

I plan on putting the bumper on Ebay in the next few days unless someone here gives me a fair offer for it. To recap, it is a BRAND NEW, OEM unpainted M-Tech bumper for an E39. You would also need the exhaust insert, towing flap, and moldings since I will be keeping them. I have no idea how easy this would be to fix but a body shop could probably do it and there is no bumper material missing since it was a clean break.

Because of the mishap with shipping and its potential cost, I prefer local pickup in the NY/NJ/CT area. Will try to post pics this weekend for everyone.

I will try to post pics this weekend. Shipping was VERY expensive using Fedex, UPS, etc because the box is almost six feet long. I ended up using Greyhound but I am paranoid about any further damages being done during shipping.

ooh...I could fix that so easily...I'd buy it but unfortunately you aren't selling it with the trim and filler peices, so I guess I'll just hold out for that guy in the group buy section to make a rear bumper to go along with his front. I'd buy it maybe 175 shipped...I dunno, I'd have to see how much the other peices are...

EDIT: well, I checked and for the trim peices total it would run me around 40 bucks or so...and the exhaust insert is around 75 bucks...so that's about 115 bucks there...If I could end up spending around 300 or so total then it might be worth it to me...

EDIT2: Oh nevermind, I see you'd prefer local pickup, and NY isn't exactly local...that's cool, I'll just wait it out for the group buy (I seem to be wanting to spend money I don't have anyways :P )
