Do you have a oil temp gauge to know it's a problem? I figure why add a new thing to leak if you don't have too. juanci 08-18-2002, 08:40 PM I have a temperature problem. I already change the fan clutch. water pump. thermostat and the radiator is clean. I have notice especially in the force induction forum that no one mention aftermarket radiators or having such problem, also looked at the pictures and everybody is running with the stock radiator. BMWguy206 08-19-2002, 12:39 AM I honestly believe an oil cooler will not help much. Problem is that on an autox track, you do not get enough air flow to cool down anything that gets hot such as the radiator, the engine, and the oil cooler. Whats the rating of your thermostat? You may want to try an 80C or a racing thermostat which is a 71C. John (PA) 08-19-2002, 07:26 AM You could also consider a large CFM electric fan. I have to let mine idle for 3-4 minutes after each run, but the fan runs at much higher speed then the stock fan at idle, and gets it back to normal pretty quick. I open the hood too. |
