Need to remove windshield without breaking it. Rust problems along the bottom of windshield. Rust has already spreads deep into windshield groove. I just want to remove as much rust as I can. Any help or suggestion on how to rectify this rust problem would be much appreciated.

Yup, its a common spot for rust. As stated in the link the only way to properly fix it is to cut it out and weld in a new piece.
