depends on how much boost you want to run. but easily into the 600rwhp +
CarQz17 11-08-2005, 05:35 PM what did this run new?
mrdoenutz 11-08-2005, 05:45 PM it was 700 new + the thermal coating. so it came out to about 800.

NYQUEENZ 11-15-2005, 04:59 PM I have a Masterpower turbo.. the shyt spools like a BB turbo nice and quick. Its made Germany and they are very reliable i think they are good up to 700 hp.
Sephiroth619 11-15-2005, 05:13 PM I know very little about turbo, but so far I've picked up that the GT35R is a great match for the S50/S52 engine.
Would the T3/T70 be a good match for the M50?

it is if the motor is built and capable of doing 20psi or higher.

They spool fast for the size, they use a lightweight shaft system. For the size it spools good. this particular turbo is good for 800+hp.

malakia12 11-17-2005, 07:55 PM I am very interested, but have a couple questions you may or may not be able to answer. I am looking to build a 2.8L motor, and looking to push around 400-500 rwhp. Is this turbo too big for my type of application? Also, does this turbo spool nicely over 20 psi? Or could I use it for like 15 psi-18 psi?
As far as manifolds go, would you recommend the turbonetics or AA manifold? You said both would work with this turbo right?
One final question, would the 2.8L handle around 20psi with just a HG, or do you think I would need rods/pistons etc. Thank You for your time.
by the way, what power are you putting down? and could you list your mods/PSI for me as well. Thanks again

for the size it spools pretty good. you probalby can get away with smaller turbo for 400-500rwhp. but if your looking to make some big power this turbo will do it. for the 400-500 miles i used it, i used it mostly on 14psi. It felt great, pulled really hard.
yes this will fit the aa and turbonetics manifold.
Well a member by the name of card counter is doing 25psi with just a headgasket, but i would do rods and pistons for over 18psi.
i never got to tune the car in all the way in so I didnt get any final number but at 18 psi it was making over 550rwhp.
malakia12 11-17-2005, 08:13 PM thank you very much. I will get back to you.
NYQUEENZ 11-18-2005, 08:29 AM if you need a Mani i could make you a costum one that should fit this puppy nicely..
FastrTHNu 11-20-2005, 11:50 AM here you go
hhhhmmm.......
This seems a bit larger then i really need....All im running is the VAC .140
HG and ARP studs, shaved head .004...... I wonder how that would work for me at 18PSI.
What waste gate were you using and when did this puppy make full boost, on the 3.0 motor? (is that what you were using?)
Feel free to PM or E-Mail me.... VERY interested

mrdoenutz 12-19-2005, 12:25 PM How would this be on a M50 non vanos motor? It would be built w/ low comp pistons, forged rods etc. Let me know as the price is awesome. Thanks

bimmerboy328i 12-27-2005, 12:44 PM I would love to pick this up, but I am still reading up on turbos. I am also looking to run low boost around 10-12psi so I will not have to do a HG. I knew thats close, but I think I might give it a shot. Will this turbo really do anything for me at 10-12?
NYQUEENZ 12-27-2005, 09:05 PM what was the max out put of your car when you was runing high boost.. is this turbo good for 700 hp?

10-12psi will work, but the turbo really comes alive in high boost

I am not sure, never got to get a tune in with high boost, the turbo is good for ~800 + crank hp.
