1. there are no floating rotor options available for the E30 M3.

2. the key to stopping quickly from any speed is the friction of the rubber you are running, not the brake rotor or brake pad. You can only slow down as fast as the tire keeps spinning and that is determined by the stick of the tire.

I am thinking you are trying to figure out if Euro floating rotors are worth the money on an E36 or E46? The answer is not usually.

Floaters are 1 lbs lighter and resist transfering heat to the hubs during prolonged heavy breaking. That's about it. Don't expect to stop an inch shorter. Gripper tires for that.
