For you guys in the area, do you think Callahan is going survive another season? I used to follow NU football a little closer than now. The current program doesn't give a guy much to be excited about.

meh, I'm jaded.
The thing is, he's got passion, I'm just not certain that it's directed in the proper direction....I also think he's a bit arrogant, but then again, so am I!

As an alum, that does make it hard for you to fall to far out of favor. I grew up in Iowa have followed the program quite awhile. It seems that Callahan is trying to radically change the program and not having any success to (re)build from. I can't imagine the boosters/alumni putting up with him much longer.

dport, you are more right than you know...

I loathe pro-style offenses. I want to see smash-mouth football ALL DAY LONG.

The switch to the "pro-style" offense was based on false theorys. First, that NU couldn't compete for the national title as a option/run style team is wrong. You have to work with what you have. What the AD did there to Frank Solich was just plain wrong. I hope that someone there will get back to what NU does best, and has done best for 50 years - run the f---ing ball down their throats.
