Yesterday got a chance to take the bimmer on that stretch of Hwy 5 from 435 to Leavenworth, KS.

Nice little stretch of road to run. Heard about it in here and just thought I'd mention it. Gotta be careful though.. lotsa blind spots on it and at least one "airborn" spot if you hit it too quick.

5 is a popular route that we run on club drives all the time. I highly recommend it, but it will remind you to pay attention if you forget!

Back in May when my car was at Baron I got an '03 745li as a loaner and took it down that route. What a ride, I couldn't believe how well that car took the corners! It didn't drive like a big car at all.

Their servicing prices are outragous. And their parts are marked up 100-500% above MSRP.

Sure hope the loaner car was free. I kinda thought the 740's were more a midsized car than "big" when compared to most american vehicles, like the Buick Roadmaster.

I had them doing a wheel bearing, ball joints and a power steering hose. I have a pretty good relationship with my service advisor and he treats me OK.

When I had the 745li in my garage I noticed it was as long, if not longer, than my wifes Expedition. I think they weigh around 4400 pounds, so it is a pretty big car. But it does not drive like a big at all.
