Just came back from looking at the car. 7/87 build date, @#6136 IIRC.

Cosmetics
- front and rear bumper caps have clear coat peeling
- spoiler has clear coat peeling
- driver seat has seam split on left bolster from top to bottom
- glove box is not there
- BIG dent in right rear fender flare just after door jamb
- front fenders were rolled and creases are highly visible
- sunroof is rusted out
- minor surface rust at cowl

Mechanical
- clutch grabs REAL high
- ac is broken
- needs rotors and pads
- needs tires
- suspension clanks, supposedly has new struts/shocks
- speedo cable broken, reads @ 90k
- has a short in one of the fuses
- needs new window regulators
- power locks do not work
- didn't check for any leaks because it was too dark in the building
- chain tensioner noise, need to upgrade to S50 tensioner
- coolant and brake light idiot lights are on
- service/inspection lights are red and yellow

The car was severely neglected. The owner said he met the CCH Pres at a gas station and was given his card. He said the guy's name was Bryan and drove a black 2dr BMW. :D I never met the guy.

I was considering a test drive, but I called him and he said most of what beastmaster pointed out. Even at $5,000 OBO I guess the $15K e30 M3 rule still applies...

BM's pics shows it as REAL ROUGH. Paint jobs are not inexpensive, then add everything else. FREE would allow you to get into the ballpark.

This car was beautiful when I used to see it at Pearl City 10 years ago.
I talked to the owner before and he said the front strut or shocks
went through the inner fender thats why the fender has creases.
I think Central Auto Body weld the strut mounts.

thrlls already has 2 Ms in the garage. One black, one silver, just like JP. I was thinking about doing the same thing. :D
