I'm moving back to the Big Island. to the Kona side, and thinking of shipping my 93 325i. I fell in love, and cant bear to leave her behind. Anyone have insight, and is there anyone that lives in Kona? Thanks

Hey... insight into what? How long has it been since you have been to Kona?

My SO has a place there... it's getting more crowded. The hiway through Kona is gridlock anytime the sun shines. Besides that, it's great. :buttrock

Last time I was in kona was about a year ago, I just wondering about shipping and if it is worth it to ship my car or sell and buy a new one.

Check around (read the this forum's thread of last week) for info on shipping a car.

It's been a few years, but I shipped a car four years ago.. was ~$900 from Long Beach.

If you can't replace your car here for less, be sure to factor in shipping costs, it does makes sense to ship it.

Hi there,
I am moving to the Kona/Kailua side in about three weeks. I am in San Jose right now. I did some research and am going to use this place called http://www.westpointrelocation.com to ship the car. They will drop off in Kona unlike alot of others that will drop off in Hilo. I am taking my M Roadster over. The cost is in the neighborhood of $900. I see your in Santa Cruz. So what are you moving to Hawaii for? Work or do you have family over there? Maybe we can go driving sometime. There are not many people from the forums there, everyone is on Oahu. :o( I did put a thread on the Hawaii boards here about Matson. After hearing some of the horror stories with Matson I want to aviod using them. If you have any other questions just PM me. Good luck.

Cool its good to hear that someone will be in kona, Yeah i grew up there and all of my family lives there so i want to go back. Thanks for the imput.:D :D

I believe that there is one other member on the big island as I spoke to him a few week ago trying to help find him an M3.

I dont remember for sure, I think they maybe different people.
