Jay and I took the M3 to MAM (Mid America Motorplex) on Saturday night for some 1/8th mile fun. It was the first time the M hit the track and the first time Jay had drag raced on a track. We each got 5 runs in. The best Jay could pull off was a 9.02. After I could slip the clutch a little better I was able to hit a 8.82 @ 81mph. Jay had done some calculating and it came out in the low 13's. Not too bad.

That is nice work!! :) I've taken my 325 up to scribner a couple of times. Drag racing is more fun than most people think. My best time was a 15.44. Considering I don't have a LSD I was pretty happy with that. :)

That's pretty good man. He just wanted to see what it'd do. He wants to get it out on the road coarse this next year. I haven't had my car on a drag or road coarse yet.

you went to MAM with a BMW and used the drag strip? next time do yourself a favor and hit the road course. its much more fun. First cca DE is in april.

It was a Saturday night and decided to see what it would do. No harm in that. Plan on going to tha course in the spring. Also plan on auto crossing it.

the april DE is going to be sweet... registration opens in 3 weeks IIRC...
