Ok so I'm driving to work this morning and this 'Check Control' light flashes a few times then stays on. So I thought that was a little odd but then I noticed that the console thing was flashing 'Brake light curcuit' 'See owner's manual'.

Once I got to work I propped something against the brake and both of my lights are working, also checked my turn signals which are also working. Any thoughts on what this is about? Are one of my brake lights faulty?

Thanks for the help in advance.

There are a ton of threads about this problem, but maybe this will help:

Well...

I just installed a Sirius antenna cable through that area on Sunday so I'll check everything out then to see if maybe I knocked it out or something when I was running the cable.

Thanks

I had this exact problem on my 328iC. It turned out to be the brake light switch (the one actuated by the brake pedal and covered in the link in my previous post).

Good luck.
