I decided to take the plunge and move to Germany within the next 3-4 months...provided that I can find a job. eMy background is primarily IT with knowledge in managing Windows-based networks. I am also very good with a Mac and can be a little dangerous in Linux.

Anyone know any resources? I have a decent network of people here in Arizona, but that doesn't do very much for me at Germany. :)

Oh, I am not fluent in German, yet. I took German in high school and am taking some courses as refreshers.

Thanks in advance for any leads at all!

Good luck bro, it's a pain in the dick to get a job there, however since you are in the IT field it shouldnt be too bad. First you'll need to anmelden at your local rathaus (basically register at your local courthourse), then youll need to get an arbeitserlaubnis (work permit ) from the Arbeitsamt. Then you can look for jobs and be considered. NOW you also have to try and work out a visa somehow, which you should probably do before you go over there.

Best case scenario is to find a job that will hire you where you are and take care of your paperwork and fly you over.

Where in Germany? That could make a big difference if you want to stay in your field. www.welt.de has a search engine for jobs that you may want to check out. Good Luck!
