blondechick 08-14-2002, 11:39 PM hmm that's like 2 blocks from my grandma's house. sounds like a good reason to, uh, not visit her.
if anyone needs better directions (the roads there are all after-thoughts and pretty damn confusing) let me know. for example, the 35 south exit doesn't have a sign. it's just the exit after the 35 north exit. shit willy, shouldn't they be taking 35 north, anyway?
Preppy 08-15-2002, 12:33 AM damn, that is tooo far north for me...
somebody move the meet further down, like south jersey ;)
Stylin 08-15-2002, 12:42 AM nikki I didnt write that up and I dont know my way around there so... I wouldnt know my dear. But why dont u come by that day since its so close? :)
blondechick 08-15-2002, 11:17 PM i shall be there, willy.
just for everyone's info, though, take the 35 north exit. is there anyway you can tell whoever wrote the directions?
Kyle K. 08-16-2002, 05:01 AM How long of a drive is this from Princeton? I don't venture very far away from home during the school year :dunno

Those directions were based from the Turnpike and GSP. The show is actually a minute North of Woodbridge Mall just off Route 1. If you are taking route 1 then you have take route 35 South. It'll be on your left hand side. The High school is on the Northbound side of route 35. I probably confused you even more....
Kyle- I'd guess 35 mins. north of Princeton w/o traffic.
blondechick 08-16-2002, 12:04 PM no, i am almost positive that when you take the 35 south exit by the animals and things that you end up going in the wrong direction. i'll drive it today just to see, but i'm pretty damn sure that a lot of people are going to get lost.
Stylin 08-16-2002, 12:24 PM Nikki you got a license?! Eddie is also from the area and the man throwing the show... so probably he knows the route since he went there to check out the spot. But u go drive it Nikki and let us know.

This is a Charity show and set-up for everyone to see a vast array of vehicles some heavily modded and others not. I'm sure your MINI will attract more attention than some previous show winners! We are giving out 34 Judge's Choice awards which do not have any specific criteria.....just that the Judge's for one reason or another found it unique/clean/impressive etc... who knows why,hahaha..It's all for FUN. It's for people to meet other car buffs...Plus why park in the lot when you can keep the car with you??!!
Hope to see you all there!:D
Kyle K. 09-06-2002, 08:36 PM Son of a...
:rant on:
I might not be able to make it to the meet after all. My aunt, as usual, has decided to be too frickin protective. Yesterday was my first day really driving stick.... I picked it up pretty quickly and only stalled twice in an hour of driving (the first time was on my second start, and the second time was on an incline). Today, we drove around town and the surrounding area for an hour (during heavy traffic, lots of stopping) and the car never even came close to stalling..... I'm picking up the Cooper tomorrow, which gives me 8 days to get used to the car and all before the show. BUT, she's still saying that its too far away for me to drive when I'm new to manual. Its less of a drive than we've been doing each of these days, and once I'm on the highway manual is no different that auto! I still have a chance though... her exact words were "If you impress me with your driving I'll let you go, but I doubt we're going to let you go." :complain:
:rant off:
Anyway, I hope to see you guys there... I'll let you know in a few days if I'll really be going or not
Stylin 09-08-2002, 03:35 AM Kyle.. that sucks bro.. where are u in NJ again?
Just steal ur own car! ;) j/k (Thats my younger side talking.. oh the good old days. :D)
BTW the NIM show is turning out to be something special that you dont want to miss. We have many things planned with entertainment... MANY BMWs will be going.. so lets not miss this guys!
Kyle K. 09-08-2002, 12:52 PM I'm in Princeton NJ... and my aunt seems to be lightening up a little bit. We went for a drive yesterday in the car and she didn't seem uptight at all, then when we got back she said that she'd probably let me go out to my friends houses and stuff this week.... haven't brought up the show again... I think she has some weird aversion to car shows, because when there was a meet at Quaker Bridge Mall she wouldn't even let me get a ride over there, and its 10 minutes from my house! Whatever, hopefully I'll be seeing you guys there
Stylin 09-08-2002, 07:00 PM Just tell her ur going to a friends house.. :D
eeeks 09-08-2002, 07:35 PM I'll come to play...that is if ERT holds up their end of the bargain...
I expect to see y'all one way or another...hopefully...blowered and lowered!
Stylin 09-08-2002, 08:19 PM Better come out and play Eric.. The NIM show will be a great time! You know u had fun overall this weekend!
I need a Bumper !!!!!!!!!!!!! help
I cant wait , everyone in town is talking about it. Its so hyped up.
themadhatter 09-09-2002, 04:24 PM I'll be there...question is should I register the my 323is or not? Couldn't you guys wait another month for something wicked?
I figure it's for charity, why not. What charity by the way?

Doc Ed 09-09-2002, 09:04 PM I am a member of the Woodbridge/Perth Amboy Rotary Club. It is a not for profit organization which raises funds for various causes such as the scholarship fund which btw, raises over 35k a year. Since I love cars, I decided along with my car club to put on a charity car show and donate our time and money towards a good cause.:12:
Just an update on the show...We will be having a model show (probably ending up a bikini contest if the sun is strong) :boobies :boobies and also showcasing some of the new and upcoming artists in the area such as 50-1-50 (MC), a latin artist and some R&B.......
Placement will be on a first come first serve basis so come early!!!

Sorry I wasnt able to help clean up Eddie.

I rolled in at about 3pm. just in time to see the buttah-face with the purple bikini.
Doc Ed 09-16-2002, 09:00 PM On behalf of myself and the NIM crew/Staff, I would like to thank all those who came out to help/participate in our car show last weekend. Despite the rainy forecast, people still came out..approximately 175 of the potential 250 still made it.
I would like to also apologize to those who were offended by some of the acts witnessed during the Bikini contest. I had a long talk with the promoter about it. I guess girls will try anything to win! One girl was even disqualified for certain acts. This was a family event and my 4 year old was there!!
We will do our best to prevent this from happening next year..
Again..my many thanks:wave:
