View Full Version : 1602 - 2002 differences?? Help Beaner7102 10-23-2005, 08:11 PM I saw a cheap 72' 1602 on the weekend with a 2L motor (engine number from 2002). What is different on the 1602 that cant be used on the 2002? I know brakes are single line, it has a short neck diff. What else is different?? I'm keen to buy it but just not sure. Besides teh FAQ you can always look at www.realoem.com. Just open two windows -- one on the 2002 and the other on the 1600 and start clicking! Echo 10-24-2005, 04:00 PM I know that 1602's had a different brake setup than the 2002. If im not mistaken it was smaller front calipers. A big upgrade for those cars is to swap over to the 2002 stuff. Not sure of other differences though.
