I'm getting either one of these setups:
- JL 10w7 sub
- JL 500/1 amp
or
- 12" Kicker L7
- US Amps 2005 model (dont remeber which one it was)
the only thing im worried about is that its a brand new car and my installer has probably not worked on this model. He has however done a whole lot of BMW's.. But I was thinking, the battery and amp for the logic 7 system are in the trunk, so it would be easy for him to tap into both of those without running wires to the back of the factory HU, correct??
If yes, would it be easy for him to wire me a sub/gain control to the driver/passenger area.. any ideas where I can put it (keeping in mind I want it to be a straightforward install)??

I feel bad as we are not intentionally ignoring any of your threads ( I notice everyone you start has 0 replies)
Your car is just newer than most of us are familiar/comfortable with...
but the general rule is yes- both those are easy to tap in the trunk; and a competent installer can figure it all out.

Oh, and of those two, I'd only go the JL route... not happy with Kicker any longer.

haha.. thanx for your response.. I do realize that the car is new and that most of you guys are not as familiar with it.. I just saw some users that have posted saying that they had got an aftermarket setup installed so i was hoping to attract them.. appreciate any feedback i can get tho :)

yea they are both comparable in price.. JL route will be a little more expensive because of shipping to Canada and I will have to wait longer to receive the product.
The Kicker/US Amps stuff I can get stock from my local installer..
Also considered getting the JL 10w7 and running it off the US Amps instead of the 500/1 because my installer said that he has had a lot of problems with the 500/1 and has replaced a few

dont worry
get the
- JL 10w7 sub
- JL 500/1 amp
and it is very easy to tap into the factory amp
and for the sub control mine is on the driver side.
its right where its flat on the left.
i have a e90 its wired with 2 kicker cvr12 in a custom box. hits amazingggggg.

lol changed everything and went with a whole different setup..
2 JL 12w3's
1 US Amp AX500
Sealed Box
Install went really smoothly, I will post more details with pics in a new thread.. thanx for all the feedback in this thread
