Full detail twice a year, once in the spring and one sometime b4 winter for protection. that includes: wash, clay, polish, sealant, wax...if you can do that twice a year your paint should be nicely taken care and you can just wash weekly or bi-weekly (depending on the sched) to keep it up.

I also live in vancouver so i know about the rain :( more reason to put extra layers of sealant b4 wax for extra protection, its not too bad if u keep ur car inside though

I just polish when i notice the water forming large puddles on the car instead of beading like it would on a wax coat. Which is usually around 6 months.
