If you want to hang out a little bit in my garage next week, sometime between Tuesday & Friday I'll replacing the clutch & drive chain on my bike. The actual day will depend on when I can get off work early, but I'm shooting for Friday. There will probably be beer and/or scotch handy.

I've done clutches & chains before, but this is my first attempt at doing a slipper clutch... so depending on how smoothly this goes, there may be more scotch involved.

BTW
my keen spider sense tells me that kaliimc JR should be on his way any day now huh?

got the MW "in-house" brand from martin. it looks uncannily like the bucci slipper, so i'm wondering if it's the same manufacturer. the plates are the sureflex aluminum ones. also got a bunch of other stuff from MW. but next time i'll see if i can get it shipped USPS or UPS instead of fedex. fedex guy left it at the wrong house!!!! wtf!!! long story.

hey d.s., joo said you visited martin at his house, and it's a frickin' mansion! and i was saying something like, "martin works at MW right?" and joo was like, "no, he OWNS MW!!" and i was like

I don't think Martin's clutch is made by Bucci or it'd be ALOT more expensive. But nevertheless it's a good clutch. Nice and light and it'll give you the slipper function.
Yup, stopped by Martin's place several times on my way up to Tahoe and he has a nice set up. And yes, MW is his company. Started in his garage and still operating there because his house is so fricken big! He's also got an NSX and and M635 there also!
Have you changed your clutch slave already to one of the better ones? That'll make a nice difference along with a radial brake master.
But every time you upgrade there's that sound of money being emptied out of your pocket!

I'll be around and would like to help out if I can, (I'll hold your drink while you work on the bike... na na na. I would love to get out of the house and do something other than wake at the slightest sound from my daughter and continuously change diapers! She was born on Friday October 14th at 11:38 am. We were at Queens the entire weekend. Very nice staff and great facilities for just about any need new parents may have.
I am taking a month off so I'm hanging around the house. Getting that restless feeling already after week 1. Maybe I'll go back to work earlier than planned...
I hear a baby in the background, gotta go...;)

I knew my spider sense was tingling... even though it was a week late!
It turns out the instructions are in ITALIAN... so we may just end up drinking lol :drink3
Anyway most of the assembly seems intuitive, so I should be able to do most of it that night. The hardest part would probably be tuning the stack height, so that may be best left to a more sober day.

Yeah it was wishful thinking on the Bucci thing. :embarrasm
I do have an aftermarket clutch slave & radial brake master, but not radial clutch master. Admittedly I only use the clutch about 25% of the time, so lever effort isn't too much a biggie for me.
