Don't get me wrong, I love the 540. There is so much I didn't have in my FD. However, you just can't replace the feeling of driving one of these beasts without spending > $50K..

I'm missing it today.

Such a small world. I remember when you were selling it, as I considered purchasing it. '93 w/ rebuilt engine? Lived near/off of 17th St?

Car still looks solid. Who'd you sell it to? Younger/older guy? Still see the car?

HA! Yeah, I live down off 5th street in Midtown. The car was listed on several forums for a while. I put the car on autotrader and sold it VERY quickly. A young Marine who was in Iraq purchased the car, site unseen. He already had a Silver 93 Automatic and wanted the 5 speed. They flew in one morning at 4:30, I picked them up, went for a ride, had breakfast, hit the bank, and he and his dad drove the car to San Diego. I haven't seen it since.

I hear your feeling, I have one myself, 94 MB PEP. I got rid of my 98 M3 for the FD, and couldnt be happier.

Nowhere near that long, but I'm glad you at least recognize my SN. BTW, in that time, I've bought and sold several cars...

Very nice - if you don't mind, about how much did it go for and how much power did it put down?

I've always loved FDs, maybe after a few years I might pick one up as a track slut.
