Does anybody have pictures of a turbo intake up where the windshield wiper tank lives? Nick's kit apparently routes the intake up there. What has been done to move the air conditioning lines out of the way? Does the intake sit right next to the exhaust manifold?
My current intake is down low behind the right hand headlight but I think I'd like to move it up.

the ac line is bent slightly to make room for the intake piping.

the intake sits where the washer tank was located, up and away from radiating heat.

Nick said he has a modified AC line in his kit. You don't happen to have any pictures do you? What size is the air filter?

no pictures at the moment but I do have the AC line you're referring to.

untouched, make me an offer and it could be yours. ;)

I believe the filter neck is 3.5" but I could be mistaken. it's dark out otherwise, I'd snap a shot for ya.

Behind the headlights would provide you some protection during rainy days. Unless you have the same heat shielding like what Boris has, you might get fresher/colder air from where your filter is located now. So if you do relocate it just be sure to add that shielding so you dont suck in any of that hot air from the radiator and engine bay.

I have mine behind where the pass side foglight would be but i have shielding from water and an air filter wrap, and getting fresh air.. best of both world.

the heatshield isn't going to help very much since that air is going to get superheated by the turbo. it's the intercooler that provides the cold air that we all crave.

How come you didn't need it? I could be interested but have no idea what to ask for it. Maybe if I saw what it looked like.
Nick doesn't have any more piece parts to sell me. He says he is fully sold out for the year and everything he has is spoken for. I got a manifold from him and looks like I'm on my own for downpipe and other plumbing.
I typically don't drive my car when it's raining but am allways worried about sucking water in. It also seems that the filter collects alot of crap down there.
Jonsibal, what size filter are you running? Pictures?

If you already have a low level intake, I'd keep it that way. All of the ICS cars, and my car have low level intakes...and we don't seem to do poorly with those :devillook...

I pulled out all my old plumbing (Mechtech) and re-doing everything so I'm looking at all the options. I like the idea of getting the intake up off the ground and being able to get to the filter easier.
Defacto, what size is your intake pipe and filter?

I have a 3.5" low-level intake and filter...but mine wasn't done by ICS. Also, mine didn't retain the A/C. Before you make your mind up, listen to this. ICS fits 4" low level intakes while retaining all the factory A/C stuff and squeezes the filter behind the bumper. I'd study up on that and see if you could replicate it for your application...that would be the ideal...better than mine...

Make it easy.

Yank that blasted infernal A/C!!

:D

Easy for me to say, Im allergic to A/C. So mine was yanked last weekend when I tore everything apart.

No pictures of the filter and intake at the moment but I'll take one soon.
Its a 3.5 K/N filter connected to a 3.5 turbo mass meter to a 4" intake. No A/C here either.
