I've got the rear shocks out, but having trouble figuring out which way to put everything on the new ones (washers, sleeve, etc.)
There's a little green spacer/bumper on the shaft (that wasn't on the Koni shocks I pulled out). I've got flat washers, concave ones, rubber bushings, etc. The instructions aren't very helpful since they're so generalized and non-descriptove.
Do I even need the green spacer/bumper thing? What about the bushings? How much torque?

You will only use the parts with the Bilsteins. Keep all the parts that come off the Koni's with them. The only exception is the nut and washer at the bottom of the shock eye mount. The Bilstein should have an acorn shaped upper shock bushing that pushes thru the wheel well mount for the upper shock. Install one washer onto the stud of the shock, push thru the acorn rubber bushing. On the trunk side, install the "o" shaped rubber bushing and top it off with the other washer, install the 17mm nut. Tighten until the the rubber bushing squishes to about the same diameter as the washer.

There wasn't anything acorn shaped with the Bilstein.
I'm still puzzled about the green ring that was around the shaft of the new Bilstein. It's about a half inch tall and has an upper and lower ring connected by a narrow portion. I should've gotten a pic. It was on the shiny part of the shaft, not the dull portion with the threads. The inner diameter is too big to go around the upper portion.
So, I went ahead and left it on there, put the circlip above it, then the dust cover, then a washer, then a rubber bushing going into the shock tower hole, then a rubber bushing coming from above, then covered that with the concave washer, then tightened it down until the rubber bushing squished flat.
Seems tight enough, and I hope somebody can answer me on the green ring thing sometime. It shouldn't be too hard to take them back out and pull it out if its unnecessary.
Tomorrow I'll do the fronts. I've heard it can be done without popping the ball joint, so I may try that at first. But I'll get it apart somehow or another.
