Tonight I was sitting in the drive through at Krystal off Lexington Road, and I heard a very soft pop, and my car turned off. When I tried to turn it back on, most accessories turned on, and the engine just went click-click-click-click, without turning over.

So basically my car is stranded in the Krystal parking lot now.

I have to make calls and get it fixed tomorrow morning, and I'm kind of new to the Athens town, so where would you guys recommend I call? Is there any bmw mechanics around here who have good prices and good service? I really don't want to go to the dealership if possible.

Hopefully I can get some responses before tomorrow morning.

Thanks a lot.

A pop, eyh? I'm bored right now, wanna go check it out? I'll come pick you up if you need. I'm pretty new to Athens as well, but I kinda get the general area. I might be able to figure it out for you if need be.

that sux...the only place locally i know of is the stealership...my friend went to this one place in athens, to fix his diff. and they only made it worse with their ghetto mekaniks. if you need a lift or want to go look at it, i actually have my tools up here this week, give me a call. i work at 4 though.

The ticking sounds like your engine is not turning over due to a dead battery...that would be athe best case scenario...

But Naveen, if it was a bad battery, why would all the interior goodies be on full brightness? Wouldn't they be dim?
