I am in process of planning future upgrades/add-ons/replacement parts for my bimmer. I've purchased it in not so great condition, so it's got some negative points in cosmetics. Before I decide to replace anything, I was wondering if someone could give me a reasonable quote on painting the following items (as I am a noob to body work, I don't know the costs, so I need an approximate price):
1) BMW E36 Nose Panel (mine is bent, so I am thinking of getting a new one)
2) OEM E36 Mirrors - or - M3 style E36 Mirrors (covers on both mirrors have cracks, so I am thinking of getting new ones)
3) BMW E36 Eye Brows or Eye Lids (they cost pretty cheap, but I wonder how much would it cost me to have those painted)
4) BMW E36 Front M3 Style Bumper - or - BMW E36 Rieger Style Bumper (unlikely that I will have the money for it anytime soon :confused , so just wondering the price range to get it painted, as it might affect my plans)
The car is a black 95 BMW 325iS Coupe, I am not sure what exact black it is, but I might go out and check the color code under the hood if needed! I basically just want to know if getting new parts painted isn't going to cost me the double of the original part price, because it will certainly affect my decisions.:help
Thanks for any input, help, I appreciate it.

500 bucks?
Any chance of breaking down the cost of particular parts? I will probably get Headlight Eye Lids and Nose Panel first, and then mirrors and bumper (as those are more expensive). I know for sure that surface area of the bumper and mirrors is way more than eye lids + nose panel, so it can't be 50-50%.

Sounds a little low in my opinion. Esp since the bumper and all needs to be blended or it'll look off. As far a breaking down price that's not really the issue, it's the prep work and paint mixing that's the larger part of the cost.

Well I am fairly new to owning a car (since may 2005), and I don't know much about painting parts. I am just trying to see an estimate for painting those parts, I am sure a lot of you had something painted, bumper and mirrors upgrades seem common. I just need someone who could tell me a real price range on painting each of the items. I mean I don't wanna buy parts just to go to a body shop which will tell me that painting them will run me twice the amount I already paid for the parts. Also if it costs around 100$ to paint 2 head light eye lids, I would seriously think twice before getting them.

its going to be anywhere between 500-1000(good good stuff) for it all. breaking it up is kinda stupid. bumpers are usually about 250-300. mirrors about 150-200. obviosuly if u bring all that stuff tho u can talk it down.

If it helps, I had front and rear bumpers and a nose panel painted for $500 cash.
