Any ideas? The previous owner had car seat covers & made this stain on the seats. I've tried simple green, apolstry cleaner & soap. Looks like the stain is deep. Maybe have to color dye it? :help
TIA

try some All purpose cleaner. I use Meguiars APC which contain brighteners in it which should remove that stain. Where in OC are you? I've got a boat load of products you could try out.

Since it's plastic, try "Mr Clean Eraser" --- it's work wonders for me.

I have my doubts on Magic Eraser. I've seen it taken dye out of leather and will never put it anywhere close to an interior again.

I would agree if it was leather, but from his pictures it looks like the plastic parts of the seat that are stained. I've used it on plastic and haven't had any problems. I would say try it on a small part of it first --- just don't go crazy with it.

H.B/Fountain Valley...I'm right off the 405 freeway & Magnolia (minature golf/Boomers)...maybe this weekend I can stop by your place to try it out?

Thanks for all the tips.......

I never had trouble with the Mr. Clean Eraser. I got them when they first came out and tried it on the bottom of my headrest to test it. I then cleaned my seats with it. I have never seen them look cleaner. It did give them a dried out look at first, but that is a given since it cleaned so well. I then put several different leather products to give them the moisture back, and then to protect them. They still look as good as ever, and my interior is black, so I think I would have noticed if it pulled the die out.

Glad it works on your interior quite well. Come to think of it, I use the Mr Clean Eraser on all my shoes and it does wonder in getting it looking like new again. They look so white and clean!!!

The seat backs aren't plastic. They're vinyle, which are dyed. In my experience, I've seen Magic Erasers take dye off of vinyl too.

It might work, but you might end up with a faded area where you used the eraser. Just use a good all purpose clean and you'll be good to go.

Tried Mr Clean Erase today. The stain is permanent. Doesn't look like it'll go away with any cleaner. I showed it to a guy that washes & details cars on-site at my workplace, he tried some chemical & cleaner that he has but the stain doesn't go away. He said I would have to dye or color the seat? :help
