How will it fit, no rubbing or anything? What tire size should I get to be sure of no rubbing?

Jim@tirerack 10-11-2005, 06:21 PM It will fit but depending on the tire and the alignment setting you may need to roll the fender lip. If I can help let me know. Charisma 10-11-2005, 09:13 PM Well, I am getting Kumho Ecsta Supera 712's in 225/45's. Hopefully I won't have to roll it. Worst case scenario, how much would it cost to get my fenders rolled? Is the car still driveable for a few days before I could get the fenders rolled? Actually, I'd like to upgrade the wheels to 245/40's... Will that need to be rolled? Charisma 10-11-2005, 09:52 PM Bump for urgency. Jim@tirerack 10-12-2005, 11:37 AM You would still be able to drive the car. You can also just have an alignment done and run more negative camber. Check with a body shop for the fender lip roll. If I can help with the tires let me know. SilverSurfer164 10-13-2005, 10:48 AM do you really think they will rub, what if he has stock suspension it may not rub then am I right?? Jim@tirerack 10-13-2005, 01:03 PM My guess is they will fit without rubbing at all but all tires are a little different. Charisma 10-13-2005, 03:18 PM I ended up going with 235 tires. If I need it rolled I'll get it done. SilverSurfer164 10-13-2005, 06:23 PM Let me know if you get any rubbing, I am in the market for some rims and tires. I would like 18's but I don't want to roll my fenders, also I am running stock suspension Ty Vil 10-14-2005, 05:44 AM We can't tell if they'll fit without knowing the offsets. Charisma 10-14-2005, 04:40 PM Here's the pic. I'll get a photoshoot tomorrow after they are mounted. http://www.eurotekniques.com/Kurt/Small/DSC00665.jpg fliplap 10-14-2005, 05:07 PM I'm running SSR Comps, 17x8.5 in the front, 17x9 in the rear. Had to use a 10mm space in the front to clear the strut. Car is lowered on Eibach Prokit springs and Koni SAs. Car is lowered on Eibach Prokit springs and Koni SAs. and you have no scrubbing, what about a fender roll? Charisma 10-16-2005, 10:30 AM Update... I'm driving around, no rubbing, nothing. I've got the SSR GT2's, 17x8.5" with Kumho Ecsta ASX's 235/40. I've got very little clearance but it'll suffice. PJ Steamboat 10-16-2005, 05:29 PM Post pictures, please :) Jim@tirerack 10-17-2005, 11:48 AM As long as you have clearance you are good to go. The alingment and type of tire does have a lot to do with it. Some tires are just wider than others. aloozer 10-17-2005, 12:14 PM hi..between the SSR Competition and SSR Comp-H rims, which is stronger? both are forged? thanks Charisma 10-17-2005, 07:34 PM Post pictures, please :) Posted, I believe you commented already. ;) PJ Steamboat 10-17-2005, 07:52 PM Posted, I believe you commented already. ;) I meant on the car. Charisma 10-17-2005, 09:45 PM I meant on the car. I posted some here (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=428547) I stated in that thread somewhere that when I dropped my camera it screwed it up royally. When I try to turn it on to take pictures it shuts right back off, but I can turn it on when its on the setting just to view the pictures already taken. :( PJ Steamboat 10-18-2005, 12:55 AM My mistake, I didn't realize that was your car. I really like those wheels and your car would be killer with a drop. I don't know what SSR is thinking by discontinuing them. If you ever want to trade wheels let me know :) Charisma 10-18-2005, 08:17 PM My mistake, I didn't realize that was your car. I really like those wheels and your car would be killer with a drop. Drop should come after the dead of winter.:redspot As for the trades, pfft, keep dreaming.:buttrock |
