View Full Version : Trunk Wings on E39's
kaliimc 10-11-2005, 01:16 PM I need a favor, :help
During my evening run last night I was witness to a horrific sight. There was an E39 with a big wing on the back of it! :nono I need to know who this person is, contact them, then have them remove that abomination from the car. So, if anyone knows who this is please let me know, I'll call them. :devillook Sometimes when we do things we don't realize how we impact the community as a whole. This is one of those situations.:D
I realize we live in a free society, and as long as we are legally and financially able, we can do pretty much what we want to do in life. However, when someone does this to a car similar to yours it hits closer to home and your personal feelings. I now think that my car has been devalued because of this sighting yesterday. I mean, the car looked Waipahu style! Wait, it was in Waipahu... never mind. There was no badge on it indicating what model it was, must have been a 525...:evil2

thrlls 10-11-2005, 10:28 PM It can't be as bad as JP's neighbor with the "Blasting Zone" bazooka on the roof of his 525.
Oh man, I seen that E39 before at Waikele. Tried to take a pic at a red light. When I was ready, it was gone. 2fast2furious, I guess.

I'll let JP explain this one!
IslandS62 10-12-2005, 03:22 PM You mean this 5-series tow vehicle? You really have to know the guy to get the full experience...he has about 5 cars, none of which fit in his garage and he works on his cars jacked up parked on the street (on my hill mind you). His Porsche 911 has a sign on the back that says "kiss my tail" in vinyl mailbox lettering. What you don't see in this pic is the red flag waving off the back of the giant tube and the cap that says in big lettering "BLAST AREA". I suspect there is nothing more than fishing poles in the tube, but I have never asked him.
BTW, on the trailer under the tarp is the tunnel boat he just bought. It also is never unhitched from the car, because he frankly has no where to park the boat. His neighbors aren't much better as far as stuff, one has been having a garage sale non-stop for 2 months now. Fortunately this is all far enough down the street from me that it does not really bother me, rather it has good entertainment value.
IslandS62 10-12-2005, 03:26 PM Does anyone remember the E34 trunk spoilers that used to be advertised in European Car? They had the center of the trunk lid cut out, and it was bent down toward the back. The top of the trunk then became the top of the wing. Truly a horrible sight to behold. I'll try to find a pic.
