This vehicle was a 320i with m30 transplant. This one was done in about 1985. We did several of these that I know one is still around the L.A. area. A customer called me about 10 years ago and told me he had purchased it from the person that I had sold it too. These cars were very impressive on accelleration, but not so in the corners.

Yes that is a Hartge bar. I believe that we got the last 100 Hartge bars from them about 6 years ago.

was this a project you did, or did you purchase the vehicle already done? What exhaust did you use?
On serveral of our cars we used Hartge system, and on some of the smaller engine transplants (2.8 and 3.0) we used 323 sport systems that were custom custom built to the bavaria down pipes.

Its a Alpina built engine in my B6. The exhaust is a custom fabbed single Borla done by Kermit Upton. The previous owner tracked the car and had some fuel spilage so he only wanted one muffler. He didnt feel safe with a muffler to close to the lines. I want to go back to a dual setup though and will probably stick with Borla. The M30 is the PERFECT swap for the e21. The pull is insane and its so nimble around the corners. LSD is a must. Makes a world of difference.
Cant wait for the cataloge!

Al, what diff swap did you do for the m30 transplant? I'm planning one of my own, trying to get the pieces together.
