Hopefully the weather will get better by saturday though. I came across the Mohawk Trial Road thats in Mass. Never been there but it says that it winds up mountains and has some hairpin turns and covered bridges and stuff like that. It would be a great ride I think, thats if it doesn't downpour. Thats just a suggestion though.

The route is real easy. We just need to establish a meeting point for you guys. Unless of course you want to meet at the North/South meet area on the map. If any one has 2 ways I highly suggest bringing them. Makes communication lots easier. We are meeting at Lake St. Catherine State Park @ 12:30-1:00 and should be at the rte22/rte2 intersection around 2:00. Exchange of cell #'s for Saturday will make things a little easier too.

Good call. The Houston Field House would probably be the best. You could just type in the name and get the directions. I highly recommend google maps.

By the way the Houston Field House is RPI's rink, right near campus.

From the field house it shouldn't take more than 40 mins to where we are to meet. It might be tough timing with the big group coming down. Probably have to wait on the time for now.

The way we are hooking up is vtbimmer (Brent) will call us once he meets up with the north crew which will be 1-1.5 hours away. I think we should meet up at 12 at the fieldhouse. This will give people enough time to get lost and have plenty of time to make it before we leave.

The best way to get to the houston field house is drive right up 7 (going up the hill - east) and turn right onto burdett ave and then the second traffic light will be for Peoples avenue... Turn left at this point and you will be right infront of the fieldhouse.

That sounds about right. Yesterday I drove from the meet spot to Rte 9 in 1 hour going about 60. So I figure 1-1.5 hrs from when I call John (jsedlak). Hopefully the two meets will go smooth. I plan to be early at the first meet just so we can keep a pace and since the north guys have a huge day.

Yeah looks like a nice route. Im not familiar with to many roads in Ny so it would be cool to hook up with you guys and drive that route sometime. i kinda was undecided b/c on the e36 the top of the headlight still showed white between the Headlight and the hood, so i covered the top up w/ electrical tape (dont laugh it works) and voila it looks badass, heads and fogs, it looks quite DTM if i do say so myself lol.

and o yaweekedn after next would be fine as long as it doesnt snow (its possible :-D)

Ok this time I really dont plan to travel at speeds we saw on the last drive. I know I said it last time but I consider ourselves lucky. A few cars had radar and 2ways to notify me when there was a signal. I highly suggest if you dont already own some to buy a 2 way for drives like this. You guys missed a ton of conversation. If it werent for the radio I wouldnt have know half of what was happening. Plus I only got to talk to you guys at the two stops.

Yes, the V1 went off about four times during the drive. One was in Cambridge NY. The officer had someone pulled over right in front of the cop shop. The speed limit was 35 and all 8 menacing bmw's went by looking guilty as hell. :devillook

I'd take 9L from south glens falls to saratoga atleast or just route 9 to saratoga

Any will do, just make sure it has at least a 2 mile range. The more expensive ones will cover 5 miles. I bought a pair of motorola's that cost $60 with a 2 mile range. Im pretty sure they all have sub-channels like mine. They range from $20- $120 usually you get two in a pack. Even Wal-Mart should have some.

I'd also recommend doing something other than 87 north. There are faster and more fun routes up past Saratoga. Sorry I wont be able to be there, I know that one by heart and I know plenty of unreal little roads in between that will get your knuckles pretty white.

today i was going down 787 and i passed a white e30 325es on teh side of the road

i figured he was on the phone or something because bmws dont break down..

anyways i get off the next exit and come all teh way back and get back on an pull up behind it,

2 kids and 2 chicks are in the car and they go "beemerr!!!" and were all happy

he said his alt belt snapped, and i said i happened to have some fresh ones in my trunk! he was very grateful and we got talkin and hell be at the next BMW CCA meeting nov 15th

Yea, definitely, thats a sweet car, I have seen it a few times. I live on Pawling Ave so I usually bus it to school due to the lack of parking, thats probably why you haven't seen my car that much. I don't know if I have seen your car around, I'm always on the look out for BM's, I'll definitely keep my eye out for it.
