Hey everyone, found this on autotrader.A silver/black 98' M coupe.I was wondering if eanyone knew the previous owner or could stop by and check it out for me.It's a pretty far drive and I don't want to make the trip just to find out it's a lemon or it's been thrashed by the person who owned it before.
Thanks.

I'll go check it out tomorrow at lunch or after work. I'm sure you already see that the exterior is not "excellent" as noted. There is a dent in the right rear wheel arch. I'll check it out and let you know tomorrow night sometime what I think personally......

Is that the M colors in the front bumper cover grille?

This place is on the way home, I'll stop by tonight. I've got a 99 M3 coupe, so I'll have an idea what to expect. I've looked at a LR Discovery on this lot and wasn't impressed with what these guys knew (or didn't know); seemed like guys just trying to move cars. $$ seems right, if the car is in the condition they say, but from the dent, I'd say it might not be "excellent". Will check it out and get back with ya.

Curt and I went and looked at it during lunch.... keep looking  . It had been wrecked; drivers side front QP replaced poorly, front bumper fitment was terrible, drivers headlight bracket bent and headlight was glued in. And the interior was bad; dry leather and carpet behind drivers seat was completely faded (bleached, flooded??). Excellent??? :shifty

Surprise surprise.. I bought my 97 Cosmos M3 there, left rear QP had been wrecked/replaced. Other minor body issues, and the engine has been rebuilt according to previous owner. I figured the next M3 they would have around there had been wrecked as well, and sadly I am right.

That's funny.. the damage on the right side of that M3 is just like the damage on the left side of mine after a (!@#^# suburban scraped it and ran in my apartment parking lot. Bill when I decide to fix it? $400+.

Anyways, steer FAR away from "Best Choice." Luckily, my car is pretty solid so far and has a great interior. It was in their showroom.. best of the worst? :rolleyes

You may have better luck looking outside of Tulsa.

Sorry but Larry was right, this thing was rough. I'm guessing there were bent suspension parts because when we opened the hood the first thing I noticed was how jacked up the camber adjustment was at the strut towers. Both sides were set to extremes, but in opposite directions, not good!

Looking in the window the interior didn't seem so bad but when I opened the door and gave it a good look over it looked like battery acid had been spilled in the back floor board, the carpet was very discolored and looked melted. the Vaders felt like sand paper, very rough and almost crunchy. BAD BAD BMW OWNER! :nono

We looked around the lot a little more, he did have a M3 vert there that was blue but he said it was sold. It was in a little better shape but who knows upon closer inspection. He had several E46 sedans that all looked so so.

Hey, I know where there is a sweet Hellrot non-M for sale in Tulsa!!!

Looks good from pics

Mileage 75044 - nice!

Price $21,995 - thats seems high though
its a dealer so they always go high - but you should try to come down to the 18-20 area (assuming its all clear and good)

Looks much better. Is that Blue or Techno-Violet? Even has the factory arched rear-spoiler! Work on the price, and don't forget to print out the autotrader add for an additional $250 off!! Good luck.
