Whos got details, i know someone has done it, just give me some info on what fuel system i should use, do i have to change from my stock 83 fuel system or do i need a stand alone fuel managment system? And please don't just tell me its going to cost lots of money bc i am tired of hearing it, i already have to motor and i just want to get all of my bases covered before i dive in. Someone as their brother, best friend i don't care, just teach me something about what i need to do. thanks everyone for reading.

Ask BMW club racer - he has done this conversion.

I was talking to him about this about a week ago.
You have take the m10 tranny out and send it to advark racing.
It costs $500 for him to modify the m10 tranny's sensors to work with the s14 engine.
Then you have to do spend some more cash to drop in the s14, clutch, and wiring issues. All of which is very doable and has been done.
Just have BMWCLUBRACER answer these questions

GJ (bmw club racer) is a crazzyy nizzle haha. thats an evo built s14 conversion. takes a pump of throttle to make her purr..but it sounds so sweet. instant throttle responce..its rediculous.;)
(hungout and had a few words at the final BMWCCA autox at nassau colleseum.

if you have the M3 tranny use that. then you don't have to have the e21 trans modified........i am using the eta trans on my car and it fits sucessfully, i would think the M3 tranny would be the same.
and yes you will have to swap over to the M3 fueling/iginition system.
two ways to do it......1) remove the wiring for the M3 and just cut out anything that doesn't have to do with the engine. install it in the e21, power up the box off the e21 iginition and call it a day. true more wiring in the car, however you can use the e30 manual for the motor, and e21 manual for the car. keeps them seperate and stock (somewhat). 2) cut and splice and have fun. not for the faint of heart and you have to know wiring to make it happen.
and i highly recommend swapping the fuel pump, that CIS is a high pressure pump and you don't need anything that high for this type of swap (it's a good way to piss off your FPR real quick). however you can leave your feed pump where it is, the e21 feed pump will work just fine.

I don't have the m3 tranny in hindsight i should have bought it when i had the chance, i thought that i could just bolt up the m10 tanny and go but i guess not.. O well i will do with what i have and make it work, As far as fuel system i am thinking of running either the alpha N fuel tuner that many e30 m3 owners use or maybe another path, i am researching stand alone fuel mngt. systems too. soo who knows. I will upgrade the fuel pump and get new filters before and after the pump, but for now i am more worried about the motor tear down, and eventual motor build up them i will make it all come together.. First i must finish my soccer season, not enough time to work on it the way i want to.. Thats why i am using the entire winter for the buildup, thanks for the info guys and keep posting, the more knowledge i have the better!!!!
