Hey everyone, I picked up a 1982 BMW 320 yesterday, ill post pics in a bit.
Bought for the reason of being a winter beater...but i think this would be a fun car to restore.

Few questions though:
sunroof decided to come off its track? whats the easiest way to fix the problem?

Turning signals decided to not work (hazards still work, something in the stalk) anyone come across this problem before?

Ill probably progressively have more questions about this car..

Good things about the car;
It made a 450 km trip with little - no troubles (how reliable are these things?)
Little rust (hardly any underbody), one 'hole' (minor) underneath the hood.

When i came back into town i showed my boss at work the car, and he used to race a bimmer, so he's giving me his rims/wheels free, always an upside.

Not sure what im going to do with this car after winter though, I already have a good car project on the go, but im enjoying this car.

A friend of mine said he'd buy it off me for the price i paid at the end of winter..so i always have that option

If i were to keep it i'd do a complete rebuild, suspension makeover, and a turbo.

Anyways tomorrow i will post pictures, nothing really special.

Thanks for the help guys!

welcome!!!

everyone with an e21 has a problem with the blinkers at some point or another, it's the hazard button that does it. if u replace that the flashers will work again. sunroof is juust a matter of usng a screw driver and forcing it back into place.

Hey thanks for the answers (and the links to the other forums)
My current 'project' car is my Alfa Romeo Milano, i've rebuilt just about everything on her this summer, not sure what to do though, i think im going to have to remove the rust next..

i dont really plan on wrecking the car in the winter or anything of that sort, i bought it as a respectable winter car, i've only had it for two days and im thinking it deserves a good rebuild.

I payed 1400 canadian, and she has 230 000kms on her. Pictures will be tonight or tomorrow

if your car hasn't been repainted the sticker with the paint color is on the right side of the engine bay near the strut tower by the unpainted VIN number stamp. if it's dirty in there you may have to clean it up to read the sticker.....

here's some more in daylight and better pics.

Metallic Opal was the original colour ( it said like 'opalgrun metallic' or something...)
